Hand Bells
This is a music reading group for 4th and 5th grade students who are self-disciplined and willing to work hard.  The ensemble is limited to 16 students and is offered in the fall. Students will be chosen by a rhythm clapping audition.  Students should know note values and keep a steady beat. This club meets before school. Choirs at Antelope Trails are open to second through fifth graders in the fall. Second and Third graders sing together on Tuesday mornings and fourth and fifth graders sing together on Thursday mornings.   If you love to sing and have fun making great music, come join us! Intramural Sports
As an extension of the physical education program offered at school,we offer various intramural sports throughout the school year. Intramurals provide an opportunity for 4th grade students to learn more about specific sports.  Basketball, volleyball, soccer, floor hockey and softball are offered. This club meets before school. Art Club

The Art Club is for dedicated art enthusiasts create artwork for the school and community in a positive team experience.  The IB attributes and attitudes are incorporated in the actions of this club. Twelve students from grades two through five, equally represented, will be guided and mentored by the art teacher. Art club is available in the fall and spring and meets before school. Artists will donate at least two large projects to the school and to the community each year. A $35 fee is required from each student to help pay for materials. School Musical

4th and 5th graders have the opportunity to perform and participate as the stage crew for the spring musical.  There is a $50 activity fee (includes a DVD copy of the final performance)  to participate and this fee covers production expenses and includes a T-shirt for your child.  For more information, please email jenny.hall@asd20.org

Student Leadership

For the aspiring leaders in our school, the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for all students is available to 12-14 fourth and fifth grade students. Students in this group serve as IB role models to other students by preparing messages for morning announcements and each year we have both a local and global focus for students to take action.   3rd Grade Math Club

The Third Grade Math Club is designed to help any third grade student get extra math instruction in a small group, rapid-paced, high-participation setting.  The group meets before school in Mr. Fowler's room every Friday during the school year.  The focus each week is to preview upcoming math concepts so students gain a head start on the coming week, and to provide instruction in foundational math concepts so students have a well-rounded base of knowledge for problem solving in all areas.  Students may attend every session or as needed. Chess Club

Chess Club is for all students grades K-5th and meets before school. Students with all levels of experience are welcome to participate. Members will learn the rules and strategies of chess and play games with each other.  There is a $5 club fee to cover trophies and medals for the school tournament and a party to wrap up the club meetings in the spring. 5th Grade Robotics Club

Want to learn about basic robotic engineering and programming?  Antelope Trails offers a robotics club for students in the 5th grade.  This is a hands-on enrichment opportunity for students to build and program Lego Mindstorm EV3 robots to perform simple tasks.
