Supervision and Pickup

Regular arrival and Kiss ’n Go supervision begin at 8:30 a.m. Do not drop off students before then unless they are arriving for breakfast or a before-school activity with an ATE staff member meeting them at the front door.

Dismissal and staff supervision end at 3:50 p.m. Pick up your child promptly unless they are attending an after-school club or activity. Students using the playground before school or after dismissal must have parent or guardian supervision.

Kiss ’n Go

  • Use the lane on the north side of the school. Remain in a single-file line and follow the vehicle ahead.

  • Make a right-hand turn when exiting unless directed otherwise.

  • Students enter and exit on the passenger side. If this is not possible, park in the visitor lot and walk your student to the playground.

  • No pedestrian traffic is permitted in the Kiss ’n Go area.

  • After school, students wait in the designated supervised area by the portable classroom. They may not play on the playground or field while waiting and may enter the loading zone only when directed by staff.

Parking and Bus Areas

  • Do not park along Jessie Drive on the south side or Copperfield Drive on the east side of the school.

  • The visitor lot off Jessie Drive is for visitors. Curbside drop-off and pickup are not permitted there.

  • Students may not walk through the parking lot without a parent or guardian.

  • Only buses may use the loop in front of the school.

Walking and Crossing Guards

Cross only at designated crosswalks and follow crossing guards’ directions. Guards are stationed at Gleneagle Drive and Jessie Drive, and at Jessie Drive and Copperfield Drive, from 8:30 to 8:45 a.m. and 3:50 to 4:05 p.m. These crossing-guard hours do not extend school playground supervision. See school maps and walking-zone information.

Bicycles and Scooters

Students in third grade and higher may ride bicycles to school. Students in second grade and below may do so only with a parent or guardian. On school grounds, walk bicycles and scooters on the sidewalk and park them in the bike racks. Once parked, they must stay there until dismissal. Secure bicycles with locks; the school and district are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Bus Cards and Changes

Bus riders should bring their My Ride Card daily and scan on and off for each ride. For a different bus or stop, send a written note or contact the school so the office can issue a bus pass. Drivers may not make these changes without a pass. For a same-day stop change, contact Transportation at 719-234-1410 before the end of the day.

Weather and Early Checkout

See Delays and Closures for indoor dismissal and emergency schedules. For pickup during the school day, follow early checkout procedures.
