Entry and Check-In

Outside doors remain locked. Enter through the front entrance near Jessie Drive and Copperfield Drive. Use the doorbell panel to identify yourself and explain your visit, then proceed to the office window.

Present a state-issued photo ID for clearance through Raptor. Wear the visitor badge visibly throughout your visit. Check out and return the badge to office staff before leaving.

Classroom Visits

Arrange classroom visits with the teacher at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Younger children may not accompany parents on classroom visits.

  • Schedule individual student conferences separately so they do not interrupt classroom instruction.

Lunch With Your Child

Parents are welcome to join their child for lunch. To purchase a school lunch, call the office by 9 a.m. so it can be included in the daily count. Pay by personal check, exact change or the student’s lunch account.

School Tours

New and prospective families and other visitors may schedule a tour before or after school by calling 719-234-4100.

Deliveries

Bring forgotten items, homework, lunches, lunch money and permitted birthday items to the main office. Staff arrange delivery at an appropriate time to limit classroom interruptions. See meals and celebrations before bringing celebration items.

Pets

Pets are not permitted on school grounds from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Service animals trained to assist a person with a disability are permitted as required by law. Contact the office for more information.

Volunteering

Classroom volunteers and field-trip chaperones must follow the district application and school training process described on Community and Involvement.
