Dress for Learning
Clothing, grooming, jewelry, accessories and body adornments may not disrupt or potentially disrupt learning. Items may not:
Refer to drugs, tobacco or alcohol.
Be obscene, profane, vulgar or defamatory.
Advocate violence or disruptive behavior.
Threaten anyone’s safety or welfare.
Clothing Standards
Clothing may not reveal the stomach, buttocks, chest, underwear or bra straps, or be backless.
Clothing may not be inappropriately sheer, short, tight, revealing or low-cut.
Crop tops, spaghetti-strap shirts, and halter tops or dresses require a covering worn under or over them.
Shorts must be mid-thigh or longer.
Hats may be worn indoors only on designated spirit days.

Prepare for Outdoor Recess
Students generally go outdoors for recess under staff supervision. Send appropriate outerwear for changing temperatures, including coats, hats, gloves, sweaters and boots when needed.
Recess moves indoors during adverse weather, such as temperatures below 20°F, active snow or rain, or high winds.
